Best Live Act of 2015 according to Resident Advisor, groundbreaking KiNK who’s at the moment one of the most wanted producers and remixers in the world will debut Reworks. Sure thing is that the world of music hasn’t seen an artist from the Balkans evolving so fast and so originally in decades. Without great promotional effort but through his original music, he created a dynamic that is everlasting. His ability to process sounds on air and his explosive transitions from house to techno and from tech house to acid house, make KiNK unique and that’s why his performance is expected so impatiently.
For the first time ever, a magical trio from Denmark is coming to Thessaloniki, for a spectacular show. With a course that already counts 5 albums, many hits and collaborations with icons such as Daft Punk, LCD Soundsystem, Hot Chip and others, WhoMadeWho are famous for their electrifying stage energy.
Panagiotis Melidis, aka Larry Gus, is one of the most powerful Greek artists exported internationally these days. His impressive performances and his albums under the New York label DFA, have helped him built an amazing bio so far. The Red Bull Music Academy alumni (Tokyo 2014) will showcase his magic for the second year in a row at Reworks.
The line up concludes with And.id. He has been an indispensable part of NON for the last 14 years and one of the most important artists to appear under the German label Mobilee Records of Anja Schneider. After a two year hiatus, he is back on Reworks, with new & fresh ideas.
Red Bull Music Academy is a world-traveling series of music workshops and festivals: a platform for those who make a difference in today’s musical landscape. Two groups of 30 selected participants –producers, singers, DJs, composers and all sorts of music pioneers- are meeting up every year for two weeks, in a different city each time, to record, give speeches, collaborate and create shows at the best clubs and music stages. The Academy was founded in 1998 and has travelled around the world: from Berlin to Cape Town, from Sao Paolo to Barcelona, London, Toronto, New York, Paris and many more. The Red Bull Music Academy will be held at Montreal, Canada in the fall of 2016.
In addition to the annual main event, the Academy travels the globe all year long: popping up for club nights, concerts, radio broadcasts, workshops and curated stages at top-flight festivals such as Sónar, Mutek, Movement, Montreux Jazz, and the upcoming Reworks in Thessaloniki.
