Elina Psykou

Elina Psykou was born in Athens in 1977 and studied film directing and sociology.

She directed and wrote the screenplays for the films The Eternal Return of Antonis Paraskevas (Berlinale Forum 2013), The Son of Sofia (Tribeca 2017, Best Film Award), while in 2013 Variety magazine included her in the list of 10 European Directors to Watch.

In 2009 she founded her own production company, Jungle Films, and in 2016, with the directors Alexis Alexiou, Giannis Vesleme and the film historian Aphrodite Nikolaidou, they formed the group The Lost Avenue of Greek Cinema, in order to highlight the variety and charm of Greek Cinema.
