There’s an undeniable cinematic quality to Hior Chronik’s music. Based in Berlin, Giorgos Papadopoulos aka Hior, is focusing on a more minimalist musical approach, based on a wide spectrum of the instruments to create his soundscapes: synthesizers, electronics, strings, woodwinds and mainly piano.
His sound is characterised by a cinematic melancholy and expressive melodies from scattered notes while he understands how to sculpt with a hybrid of acoustic and electronic elements. Being one the most prolific artist of our decade with numerous releases on 7K!, Ki Records, A Strangely Isolated Place to name a few, Hior has also made significant collaborations with world-class composers and artists during his course, such as Akira Kosemura, Field Rotation, Masayoshi Fujita, Sophie Huchings, Yoshida Yashusi and many more.
His relationship with music began with him working as a radio producer on Jazz FM as well as editor in several music magazines. Dealing with the production started nine years ago and attention has turned to minimalist ambient piano patterns. Make sure not to miss one of the most brilliant, internationally acclaimed and multifaceted artists in modern music.
On reworks connekt he will present a unique techno set paired with specially designed visuals.
