The Talk [A/V – Show]

Where Technology Shapes Reality

The Talk is a multidisciplinary performance exploring the ways technology shapes our perception of reality through sound, language and immersive visual environments. Created within the TIMES initiative, the work was commissioned by Nuits sonores (France), reworks (Greece) and Terraforma (Italy) as part of a shared commitment to supporting ambitious new artistic productions that cross disciplines and challenge conventional performance formats.

Presented in the form of a surreal panel discussion, The Talk draws inspiration from the Antikythera mechanism — widely regarded as the world’s first analogue computer — using it as a symbolic starting point to examine humanity’s evolving relationship with technology. Through hypnotic live music, spoken word, research-based storytelling and immersive stage design, the performance asks how technological systems influence the narratives we construct, the truths we accept and the realities we ultimately inhabit.

Rather than offering definitive answers, The Talk creates a space where music, theory, architecture and performance coexist, inviting audiences into an experience that is at once intellectual, emotional and deeply sensory. It is a work that blurs the boundaries between concert, lecture and installation, reflecting the increasingly fluid relationship between humans, machines and imagination.

Bringing together artists working across electronic music, research, writing and spatial design, The Talk embodies the collaborative spirit that defines the TIMES project, demonstrating how contemporary festivals can become platforms not only for presentation, but for the creation of new artistic works.

The Creators

Heith

One of the most distinctive voices in contemporary experimental electronic music, Heith creates immersive sonic worlds where organic instrumentation and digital processing constantly intersect. As composer, producer and founder of Haunter Records, his practice explores ritual, texture and perception, forming the musical backbone of The Talk.

Günseli Yalcinkaya

Writer and researcher Günseli Yalcinkaya investigates internet folklore, digital mythology and emerging technologies. Her research and spoken-word contributions shape the conceptual framework of The Talk, connecting historical technological inventions with contemporary questions surrounding artificial intelligence, narrative and perception.

Andrea Belosi

Berlin-based architect and multidisciplinary designer Andrea Belosi develops immersive spatial environments that merge architecture, scenography and multimedia installation. His original stage design transforms The Talk into a fully integrated audiovisual experience where space becomes an active participant in the performance.
