Thalia Rizou believes that in order to find sustainable solutions for the social challenges of our times we need a specific, vision-oriented idea, a methodology that’s customized for the local society and a systemic, participatory, human-centered approach.
Over the last 13 years she has been involved as a project manager, service designer and facilitator in several organizations, projects, and initiatives that promote social innovation, civic society, and education in Greece and abroad. In 2015 she founded Youthnest, an organization that develops holistic methodological approaches to address social challenges in Greece.
She works as a facilitator at the ChangemakerXchange program that connects social entrepreneurs from around the world, as an external consultant for the Municipality of Thessaloniki on the topic of civic society and its fundraising strategy, and as a systemic impact consultant on several organizations. She is inspired by people who fight with ethos for a better world and her vision is to contribute in a more participatory, innovative Thessaloniki that is open to fresh ideas, experimenting and innovative, optimized processes.
