French Beach

French Beach, also known as I.R.AG in recent times, hails from Thessaloniki, Greece, and is a DJ deeply entrenched in the electronic music scene. Since his teenage years, he has been captivated by various genres of music, nurturing a profound passion for electronic sounds. Transitioning from being part of novice bands and duo projects, he found his true calling in music production and solo DJing at a young age.

Since 2008, French Beach has mesmerized audiences at underground parties and open-air festivals, gracing notable events like the Seli Mountain Gathering Festival in Greece during 2013 and 2014. He also played alongside esteemed domestic and international artists such as Michalis Delta and Perel.
His diverse encounters have sculpted his present musical style, oscillating gracefully between indie, melodic house and techno. Whether performing solo or in back-to-back shows, he serves as a resident DJ at Ypsilon in Thessaloniki and he has previously held similar roles in other locations across Greece.

He’s the ½ of the vigorous art platform “It’s Raw”, which is behind successful side-projects like the “Into Space” clubnight and “Outer Walls” open air, to name a few. Mutant disco, voodoo & drone house or boogie techno and everything in between is what you expect to listen to from him at their (and not only) events, which mostly happen in unique venues containing a slew of great artists & personal influences like Ivan Smagghe, Autarkic, Pional, Niv Ast, Matt Walsh, DC Salas, Remain, Fort Romeau, Sandrino, Phred Noir and many more.

No longer one of dance musics’ best-kept secrets Cormac’s reputation as a revered selector has rapidly spread. The Queer Northern Ireland-born DJ is now soundtracking dancefloors the world over with his unique take on HI-NRG, House and Techno.

In Berlin and Europe, he’s best known for his legendary closing performances at Panorama Bar and Snax. Sometimes running up to eleven hours in length, and with free reign to play across the board sonically, Cormac has fast become a staple on the line-ups for the club.

In 2021 he founded his own imprint Polari Records. Polari is named in reference to the secret old-school gay slang once used in Europe. The label showcases new and established producers with each release featuring collectible artwork from LGBTQ+ artists.
