Scandinavian precision, dancefloor energy

Copenhagen-born Christian Nielsen has built his sound at the intersection of house and melodic techno, balancing driving club energy with the clean, understated precision often associated with Scandinavian electronic music.

Active since the early 2010s, the Danish DJ and producer has developed a distinctive production style shaped by deep basslines, melodic tension and intricate percussion. His music has found a home on some of electronic music’s most respected labels, including Diynamic, Ellum and Spectrum, earning support across the international club circuit.

Behind the decks, Nielsen translates that same combination of melody and momentum into dynamic, dancefloor-focused sets. His career has taken him to renowned venues including Watergate, fabric, Printworks and Pacha Ibiza, where he has also appeared as part of Solomun +1.

With more than a decade of releases and performances behind him, Christian Nielsen continues to refine a sound that connects the direct physicality of house music with the atmospheric pull of melodic techno.

At reworks 2026, Christian Nielsen joins the reworks Club Stage on Friday 18 September as part of reworks by night. The night is curated by Maceo Plex, with Nielsen joining Maceo Plex and Raxon for a special programme that will also feature a three-way B2B between the three artists.

A new-generation force in Berlin house

Born and raised in Berlin, LOVEFOXY is one of the most exciting new names to emerge from the city’s house music scene. Her connection to club culture runs deeper than most: she grew up immersed in Berlin’s electronic underground, with a mother who opened one of the city’s first house clubs, a place once frequented by figures including David Bowie.

That history feeds directly into her sound. LOVEFOXY moves through the euphoric energy of ’90s house, old-school Detroit techno and decades of dance music with the instincts of a dedicated selector rather than a revivalist. Behind the decks, her deep record collection meets an unmistakable physical presence — something also shaped by years studying Dance Performance at Barcelona’s Institute of the Arts.

In just a few years, that combination has taken her from Berlin to an increasingly international circuit. Berghain, Robert Johnson, Time Warp and Tomorrowland are among the stages already on her résumé, alongside a residency at Paris club Badaboum and appearances on lineups with artists including Sven Väth, Joy Orbison, DJ EZ, Eliza Rose, DJ Heartstring, Floorplan and Mochakk.

Her move into production has added another dimension. The Burning Down the Sluthouse EP on the legendary New York house label Nervous Records introduced her bold, playful approach in the studio, followed by Lord Juice on WHP Records. The former later received its own remix treatment, featuring contributions from Ian Pooley and MALUGI.

Whether digging into classic house and Detroit records or pushing towards something distinctly her own, LOVEFOXY approaches the dancefloor with a simple idea at its core: connection, release and movement. A new-generation Berlin artist with the history of house firmly in her DNA, she brings that energy to reworks.

Drawing inspiration from Gerd Janson, Deetron and Tiga, Constantine Bellas moves between vintage analogue synths, electro, groove-driven club music and the timeless pull of Italo disco. Nostalgia runs through his selections without defining them: melody, emotion and a playful sense of energy remain at the heart of his sound.

A familiar presence in Greece’s electronic music circuit, Bellas has performed at some of the country’s most respected festivals and venues, sharing line-ups with artists including Michael Mayer and Sama’ Abdulhadi. His path has also included residencies at Ypsilon in Thessaloniki, Burger Disco in Athens and Bolero in Mykonos, shaping a musical identity rooted in the club while always looking beyond it.

Precision in Motion

For more than two decades, Raxon has been developing a sound shaped by constant evolution rather than a single musical reference point. From rock and hip-hop to trance, house and the futuristic atmospheres of science fiction, the influences he absorbed growing up have gradually converged into the stripped-back, melodic approach to techno that defines his work today.

Born in Egypt and now based in Barcelona, Raxon discovered electronic music in his early teens during the late 1990s. Years spent behind the decks and in the studio eventually led him to Barcelona in 2014, a move that marked an important new chapter in his career and brought his productions to some of electronic music’s most respected labels.

His catalogue includes releases on Kompakt, Ellum and Cocoon, placing his music within a lineage of labels known for distinctive, forward-thinking electronic sounds. Across his productions, Raxon balances hypnotic grooves, carefully controlled tension and melodic detail, creating tracks built as much around atmosphere as dancefloor impact.

With more than 20 years of DJ experience behind him, Raxon has witnessed successive waves of electronic music come and go. Rather than following them, he has used that perspective to refine his own identity: precise, spacious and deeply rooted in the darker, more hypnotic edges of contemporary techno.

Marios Dimitriou is a Dj and Producer under the alias “MayDay”. He got into producing from a very young age and started shaping his sound in different directions. Influences vary from techno, house and disco to post-punk, darkwave and alternative rock. All these led him to a sound that borrows elements from all of the above. In his dj sets you can hear the diversity of the sounds he likes to play. Groovy drums , filthy basslines and euphoric synthesizers are some of the sounds that will stand out in his sets and productions, of which they’re described as intensive but yet emotional. Having shared the stage with names such as Solomun, Mano Le Tough, Fideles, Tripolism, Brina Knauss, Ison, Momery & more, he continues to deliver new and fresh sounds to the dance floor

2024 has been his biggest year so far, being part of Greece’s biggest electronic music festival “Reworks” and also released music on labels and platforms such as Nein Records, Disco Suicide etc.

He is currently working on lots of new music, an LP and other projects that may see the light later in 2026 (maybe not!)

Dub Techno in Deep Focus

For Modal Cat, depth is not simply an aesthetic choice. It is the space where the music takes shape.

Moving through the atmospheric territories of dub techno, the project is built around analog warmth, subterranean bass and an acute sense of space. Sounds unfold gradually rather than demand attention, forming immersive environments where texture, rhythm and resonance carry equal weight.

The name itself offers a clue to the philosophy behind the music. Borrowing from jazz terminology, “modal” points towards harmonic freedom, while “cat” evokes the seasoned musician — an approach that connects the improvisational spirit and organic musicality of jazz with the hypnotic repetition of electronic music.

Hardware synthesis sits alongside detailed digital production, with particular attention given to sound design, spatial acoustics and the physical character of sound. The result is dub techno conceived as much for the body as for the ear: spacious and hypnotic, yet grounded by low frequencies designed to come fully alive through a sound system.

For Kiki Botonaki, house music has always carried a sense of place. Based in Thessaloniki, the DJ and producer has developed a sound shaped by warm grooves, melodic movement and a distinctly Mediterranean sensibility — equally at home under an open sky as it is on a late-night dancefloor.

Her relationship with electronic music extends well beyond the DJ booth. Since 2016, she has been a daily presence on Thessaloniki’s FLY104, where her radio show has given her another platform through which to explore and share contemporary electronic music. Behind the decks, years of performances and residencies have allowed her to develop an instinctive approach to pacing a set, moving between atmosphere, emotion and dancefloor energy.

Her path has taken her from her hometown to some of Greece’s best-known electronic music destinations. She has appeared at reworks Festival and reworks agora, performed at Cavo Paradiso and Super Paradise in Mykonos, and held residencies at Thessaloniki venues including Aigli Geni Hamam and the historic Bar Thermaikos.

Production has gradually become an increasingly important part of her artistic identity. “We Fly”, created alongside Manuel Kane and Christos Fourkis, reached No. 3 on Beatport’s Afro House chart, while collaborations and releases such as “Tension” with Lazarusman and “I Know What Love Is” on Fiona Kraft’s Non Merci Music have introduced her work to a wider international audience.

Since 2025, Kiki Botonaki has been represented by NON, opening a new chapter focused on expanding her presence beyond Greece. Rooted in Thessaloniki but increasingly looking outward, her music brings together the warmth of the Mediterranean and the pulse of the contemporary house dancefloor.

Making Machines Feel Alive

Before the synthesizers, sequencers and festival stages, there was a guitar. Jan Blomqvist grew up playing music, absorbing everything from Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen to The Rolling Stones, before arriving in early-2000s Berlin and discovering an entirely different way of creating. He never really abandoned the logic of a band; instead, he began treating electronic technology as a new, much larger instrument.

That transition still sits at the heart of his work. Producer, singer and musician at once, Blomqvist has developed a sound in which deep and melodic electronica meets songwriting, vocals and live instrumentation, bringing some of the unpredictability of a band into an electronic setting.

That approach has taken him from Berlin clubs to stages around the world, including Coachella and Burning Man. Yet even in front of thousands, his music retains its intimacy: delicate melodies, understated vocals and subtle details that gradually reveal themselves.

This idea runs through MUTE, his third studio album, released in 2025. Following Remote Control and Disconnected, Blomqvist continues to explore our relationship with an increasingly connected and relentlessly noisy world. A year earlier, he also launched his own label, Disconnected, with Destination Lost, his collaboration with Rodriguez Jr.

In 2026, another chapter is taking shape. Alongside new material, Blomqvist is working on acoustic reinterpretations of some of his defining songs while bringing his band back to major international festival stages. More than two decades after discovering electronic music, the underlying idea remains remarkably consistent: to make machines behave like instruments, and electronic music feel unmistakably alive.

Shaped by Rhythm, Driven by Techno

Long before techno entered the picture, there was soul, hip-hop, blues and funk. For Thessaloniki-born Penny Morado, rhythm came first — and traces of those early influences can still be heard in the way she approaches a dancefloor today: through groove, movement and a constant sense of momentum.

Her route into electronic music began with minimal techno and became more defined after joining No Love at 23, where time behind the decks allowed her to turn those influences into a language of her own. Rather than settling into one corner of techno, her sound has gradually grown faster and more physical, built around rolling rhythms, hypnotic basslines and the kind of tension that works through a crowd rather than simply hitting it head-on.

A residency at The Host Club placed Penny firmly within Thessaloniki’s techno circuit. As the club’s only female resident DJ during that period, she developed her sets week after week in one of the city’s dedicated spaces for the genre — an environment that gave her the freedom to sharpen both her selection and her relationship with the dancefloor.

That trajectory has since put her on lineups alongside Chris Liebing, Dax J, I Hate Models, Parfait, Indira Paganotto, Clara Cuvé, Lee Ann Roberts and Yousuke Yukimatsu, among others. More recently, she took her sound outside Thessaloniki with a Mykonos debut at Cavo Paradiso, sharing the bill with Meduza.

Rooted in the city where it all began but increasingly reaching beyond it, Penny Morado arrives at reworks with a sound shaped as much by where she started as by where she is heading.

Shaping Sound, Style and Identity

For Myrophora, music and image are part of the same aesthetic language. Based in Thessaloniki and drawing inspiration from electronic music, fashion and contemporary visual culture, she is gradually shaping a personal identity behind the decks.

Her sets move between progressive and melodic house, techno elements and unexpected flashes of pop, favouring flow and narrative over strict genre boundaries. Her appearances have taken her from Thessaloniki and Athens to Mykonos, where she holds a residency at Super Paradise.

As a member of the NON team, she has previously appeared at reworks, while her path so far also includes a performance at the Panathenaic Stadium alongside Anna Vissi and collaborations with international brands including Yves Saint Laurent. Sound, styling and presence come together in an approach that sees DJing not simply as music selection, but as a broader form of creative expression.

Hypnotic Depth in Motion

In Vertical Slope’s sound, intensity comes through progression rather than excess. Hypnotic patterns, dub influences and deep, repetitive textures shape sets that unfold patiently while remaining firmly connected to the dancefloor.

Behind the project is Josh Roll, a sound engineering graduate and co-founder of GREZI. Through key residencies and appearances alongside established names in electronic music, he has developed his own approach to techno, built around atmosphere, depth and movement.

In recent years, production has become an increasingly important part of his work, bringing this aesthetic from the DJ booth into the studio and further defining the identity of Vertical Slope.

A Sound in Constant Motion

Adriatique have built their identity on the art of progression. The music of Adrian Shala and Adrian Schweizer unfolds patiently, balancing hypnotic rhythms with melodic depth, tension and emotion — a language they have refined over the years without allowing it to stand still.

That evolution is particularly present in their recent studio work. Following releases such as ‘Miracle’ with WhoMadeWho, ‘Like A Dream’ with Rivo and ‘Love’s A Game’ with Bipolar Sunshine, 2026 has brought a new run of collaborations, including ‘Lost In The Woods’ with Elderbrook, ‘Closer’ with Emmit Fenn and ‘Coming Home’ with rhys from the sticks. Their current output moves freely between melodic house and techno, cinematic electronics and songwriting, while retaining the slow-building intensity that has become central to their sound.

Beyond their own productions and DJ sets, Adriatique have gradually built a creative ecosystem around their music. Their Siamese label, founded in 2016, has developed into a platform for artists sharing their forward-looking approach to electronic music, while X and X Recordings extend that vision into audiovisual productions and new releases. In 2026, X continues its international journey through cities including Athens, New York and London, ahead of its headline debut at Ibiza’s UNVRS.

From major festival stages such as Awakenings to their own productions around the world, Adriatique continue to operate at the forefront of contemporary electronic music while constantly reshaping the boundaries of their own sound.

Where electronic music is created in real time

Most artists step onto the stage to perform their music. KiNK steps onto it to create it. Every live show is an open-ended exercise in improvisation, where drum machines, synthesizers and sequencers become instruments, and no two performances ever unfold the same way.

Born and raised in Sofia, Strahil Velchev carved his own path long before Bulgaria’s electronic scene gained international recognition. Through the pBPM collective and a string of acclaimed releases on labels including Macro, Running Back, Ovum and Rush Hour, he developed a sound that moves effortlessly between house, techno, acid and analogue experimentation, refusing to settle into a single musical category.

His international breakthrough came not only through his productions, but through a radically different approach to live performance. Rather than recreating finished tracks, KiNK embraces unpredictability, reshaping his music in real time and allowing each performance to evolve with the energy of the moment. This philosophy has established him as one of electronic music’s most celebrated live performers, earning appearances at leading clubs and festivals worldwide, as well as multiple accolades including Resident Advisor readers’ Best Live Act.

Alongside his performances, he continues to expand his catalogue through his own Sofia Records imprint, while his productions and remixes have become a lasting influence across contemporary electronic music.

Kittin | Where the Story Began

At the first raves in Grenoble, a small group of friends found themselves immersed in a new world of electronic music. Among them were Caroline Hervé and Michel Amato, unaware that only a few years later they would write one of the defining chapters of modern club culture together.

Kittin’s collaboration with The Hacker produced landmark tracks such as Frank Sinatra, 1982 and Silver Screen Shower Scene—records that left a lasting mark on European electronic music and helped shape what would later become known as electroclash.

Since then, Kittin has never stood still. As a producer, vocalist and DJ, she has continued to expand her artistic language, moving effortlessly between electro, techno, synth-pop and experimental electronics. Nearly three decades into her career, she remains a defining presence in contemporary club culture—not only because of what she created, but because of her constant evolution.
