Where Technology Shapes Reality

The Talk is a multidisciplinary performance exploring the ways technology shapes our perception of reality through sound, language and immersive visual environments. Created within the TIMES initiative, the work was commissioned by Nuits sonores (France), reworks (Greece) and Terraforma (Italy) as part of a shared commitment to supporting ambitious new artistic productions that cross disciplines and challenge conventional performance formats.

Presented in the form of a surreal panel discussion, The Talk draws inspiration from the Antikythera mechanism — widely regarded as the world’s first analogue computer — using it as a symbolic starting point to examine humanity’s evolving relationship with technology. Through hypnotic live music, spoken word, research-based storytelling and immersive stage design, the performance asks how technological systems influence the narratives we construct, the truths we accept and the realities we ultimately inhabit.

Rather than offering definitive answers, The Talk creates a space where music, theory, architecture and performance coexist, inviting audiences into an experience that is at once intellectual, emotional and deeply sensory. It is a work that blurs the boundaries between concert, lecture and installation, reflecting the increasingly fluid relationship between humans, machines and imagination.

Bringing together artists working across electronic music, research, writing and spatial design, The Talk embodies the collaborative spirit that defines the TIMES project, demonstrating how contemporary festivals can become platforms not only for presentation, but for the creation of new artistic works.

The Creators

Heith

One of the most distinctive voices in contemporary experimental electronic music, Heith creates immersive sonic worlds where organic instrumentation and digital processing constantly intersect. As composer, producer and founder of Haunter Records, his practice explores ritual, texture and perception, forming the musical backbone of The Talk.

Günseli Yalcinkaya

Writer and researcher Günseli Yalcinkaya investigates internet folklore, digital mythology and emerging technologies. Her research and spoken-word contributions shape the conceptual framework of The Talk, connecting historical technological inventions with contemporary questions surrounding artificial intelligence, narrative and perception.

Andrea Belosi

Berlin-based architect and multidisciplinary designer Andrea Belosi develops immersive spatial environments that merge architecture, scenography and multimedia installation. His original stage design transforms The Talk into a fully integrated audiovisual experience where space becomes an active participant in the performance.

CNTHIA is a Thessaloniki-based DJ and resident of the ALEMAO collective, steadily building her presence within the city’s contemporary electronic music scene. Her sets are driven by groove-heavy rhythms, powerful basslines and hypnotic energy, moving fluidly across different shades of techno while maintaining a distinctive dancefloor-focused identity.

Blending fast-paced momentum with carefully crafted selections, she creates immersive performances that balance intensity with flow, earning a growing following through her dynamic approach behind the decks.

She has shared the stage with artists including 9×9, Hector Oaks, Patrick Mason, Metaraph, Jowi, Hanaa (La Penderie Noire), Aiden, and Karah, continuing to establish herself as one of the emerging names of Thessaloniki’s new generation of techno DJs.

Ukraine’s uncompromising force in modern techno

Relentless energy and fearless selections define Daria Kolosova’s approach behind the decks. After emerging from Kyiv’s influential underground scene, she quickly established herself as one of its defining figures through residencies, self-curated events and standout appearances at institutions including K41, Closer and Keller.

Today, Daria Kolosova is a regular presence at some of the world’s most respected clubs, with frequent bookings at Berghain, Bassiani, Fabric and FOLD, alongside major festivals such as Tomorrowland, Awakenings, Junction 2 and Time Warp. Her rapid international rise has been driven by an uncompromising approach to DJing and an instinct for constantly pushing beyond expectations.

Blending groove-driven techno with breakbeat, electro, hardcore and jungle, her sets are dynamic, unpredictable and intensely immersive. Every performance unfolds as a journey through shifting textures and rhythms, balancing raw power with precision while inviting dancers into a constantly evolving sonic narrative.

Alex Wann: A New Force in Global House Music

A distinctive blend of deep-rolling drums, melodic synths and infectious grooves has propelled Alex Wann onto dancefloors around the world, building a sound that moves fluidly between afro and melodic house.

His breakthrough came in 2023 with “Milkshake 20”, his reinterpretation of the Kelis classic that became an underground anthem almost instantly. The track reached #1 on Beatport’s Melodic House chart and earned support from Keinemusik, Diplo, Pete Tong, John Summit, Adriatique and BLOND:ISH.

Since then, his sound has continued to evolve. “Right”, released on Defected in 2025, reached Beatport’s Top 5, while his Allo EP, released through Crosstown Rebels in May 2026, earned him his second BBC Radio 1 Essential New Tune.

That momentum has carried into his international touring schedule, with appearances at Tomorrowland, Cercle Festival Paris and EDC, alongside performances at Hï Ibiza, Pacha Ibiza, Fabric London and Savaya Bali. In 2026, he also began a new residency at XS Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas.

With more than one billion total streams, 3.5 million monthly Spotify listeners and three consecutive 1001Tracklists “Future of Dance” awards, Alex Wann’s trajectory continues to accelerate, reinforced by a nomination at the 2026 International Dance Music Awards.

Taste, patience and long-term vision have defined Dixon’s career from the very beginning. As co-founder of Innervisions, he has helped shape one of electronic music’s most influential creative platforms, introducing artists, ideas and a distinctive musical language that continues to influence dancefloors around the world.

His DJ sets have become a benchmark for contemporary club culture. Built on precision, exclusive selections and an instinct for tension and emotion, they earned him four consecutive No.1 positions in Resident Advisor’s Top DJs Poll and established him as one of the most respected selectors of his generation.

Beyond music, Dixon continues to explore the dialogue between club culture, fashion, digital art and technology through projects such as Together We Dance Alone and Transmoderna, extending his creative vision far beyond the DJ booth.

Returning to reworks, Dixon brings the musical depth, elegance and unpredictability that have defined his career for more than two decades.

A product of the Midwest rave movement, he has shaped a career defined by integrity, uncompromising artistic standards and an unwavering belief that the dancefloor should always come before trends.

Every DVS1 set is driven by instinct. Powerful techno sits alongside soulful house, electro and unexpected detours, unfolding with remarkable patience and precision. Rather than relying on formula, he builds long-form narratives that respond to the room in real time, creating experiences where sound, space and audience become inseparable.

His productions have appeared on landmark labels including Axis, Transmat, Klockworks and PoleGroup, while HUSH and Mistress Recordings have become natural extensions of his musical philosophy. Regular appearances at Berghain / Panorama Bar, Bassiani, Fuse and Smartbar, together with projects such as The Wall of Sound, reflect an artist equally committed to performance, sound system culture and the physical experience of club music.

Berlin Precision, Detroit Spirit

Emerging from Berlin’s rich club culture, Fadi Mohem has established himself as one of the most refined voices of contemporary techno. Raised in Spandau, his musical identity was shaped by the city’s underground scene, early Detroit techno, Berlin dub techno, drum & bass and IDM—forming a sound built on precision, restraint and hypnotic momentum.

A trained sound engineer and longtime resident of Berlin’s legendary Berghain, Mohem approaches both DJing and production with exceptional technical depth. His sets are driven by groove, subtle tension and seamless progression, combining razor-sharp multi-deck mixing with unreleased productions that blur the line between studio experimentation and dancefloor energy. His hardware-only live performances take this philosophy even further, creating evolving compositions in real time.

Rather than chasing trends, Fadi Mohem has developed a distinct artistic language rooted in repetition, flow and sonic clarity. Alongside his work as a DJ and producer, he is also part of the team at Berlin’s iconic Hard Wax record store, further reinforcing his deep connection to electronic music culture.

With acclaimed releases on labels including Klockworks, Seilscheibenpfeiler and WERK, Fadi Mohem continues to define a forward-thinking vision of techno—one that balances discipline with emotion and technical mastery with timeless club functionality.

Behind the Sound, Ahead of the Curve

Ison (Ίσον), meaning “equal” in Greek, is the artistic identity of Anastasios Diolatzis — a DJ, curator, producer, and one of the key figures behind the evolution of Greece’s contemporary electronic music scene.

For more than two decades, Ison has operated at the intersection of performance, curation, and cultural development. As a founding member of the NON collective, curator of numerous event concepts, long-time radio host, and one half of the electronic project Actor One, he has helped shape the country’s musical landscape both behind the scenes and behind the decks.

Renowned for his refined musical taste rather than stylistic limitations, Ison has performed more than 2,000 DJ sets across Greece and Europe, earning a reputation as one of the country’s most respected selectors. His sets move effortlessly between house, techno, Detroit influences, and unexpected musical references, always prioritizing storytelling, atmosphere, and emotional connection over genre conventions.

Beyond DJing, his contribution extends throughout the wider cultural ecosystem. Through projects including NON and Reworks, alongside collaborations with international artists, festivals, and cultural institutions, he has consistently championed emerging talent, introduced forward-thinking sounds to Greek audiences, and helped strengthen the dialogue between the local and international electronic music communities.

Firmly rooted in Thessaloniki and its independent spirit, Ison continues to evolve without chasing trends. More than twenty-six years after his debut, he remains a vital creative force — equally committed to discovering new music, cultivating new ideas, and shaping the future of electronic music culture.

Formed in Thessaloniki in 2022, Momery have rapidly established themselves as one of Greece’s most exciting new melodic electronic acts. The duo of Charis and George was born from a shared fascination with the relationship between memory, emotion and music, creating immersive soundscapes where cinematic atmospheres meet dancefloor intensity.

Drawing on different creative backgrounds through projects such as Symmetric and Future of Matter, Momery have developed a sound that balances introspection with euphoria, blending melodic techno, progressive influences and emotional storytelling into a distinctive musical identity.

Their breakthrough came with “Ophelia”, handpicked by Mind Against for the inaugural release on HABITAT, introducing the duo to an international audience. Since then, they have continued their ascent with the “Never Enough” EP on Berlin’s New Tab, alongside releases on Eleatics and Iconyc. Tracks such as “1991” have received widespread support from leading names across the global melodic techno scene, further cementing their growing reputation.

Since making their debut at reworks festival in 2022, sharing the lineup with artists including Tale Of Us, Innellea, Kevin de Vries, Adriatique and Kas:st, Momery have continued to expand their presence beyond Greece, performing in France, Turkey, Cyprus and other destinations while refining their emotionally driven live experience.

With a sound built on atmosphere, tension and melody, Momery represent the new generation of Greek electronic artists steadily making their mark on the international melodic techno landscape.

Hypnotic techno with cinematic depth

Thravsma is the techno project of Stergios, a Greek artist now based in Berlin. Rooted in the hypnotic side of techno, his sound emphasizes atmosphere, tension, and gradual evolution. Blending hypnotic grooves with cinematic textures and spacey sound design, his DJ sets and productions create immersive journeys that prioritize depth and storytelling over immediate impact.

His musical journey began in 2015 as a DJ and producer in the house music scene of Thessaloniki and Kavala. In 2022, following a creative reset, he returned with a new artistic vision under the Thravsma alias. His debut EP, Bitter Bliss, was self-released in 2023, followed by Liminality in 2024 via Diffuse Reality Records.

Since 2023, Thravsma has been a core member of the Ergotherapy collective, sharing lineups with artists including Conceptual, Setaoc Mass, KUSS, Phill Berg, and Future.666 across Thessaloniki and Athens. After relocating to Berlin, he has begun establishing his presence in the city’s underground scene while continuing to shape and refine the evolving sound of Thravsma.

Dark, hypnotic techno with cinematic intensity

Nases Morur is a Greek DJ and producer whose sound moves between hypnotic atmospheres and driving techno. Blending deep textures, dark grooves and relentless rhythmic energy, he has developed a distinctive sonic identity that balances intensity with introspection.

His musical journey began at the age of 15 through hip-hop culture, producing old-school beats infused with darker tones. The transition into electronic music came naturally, leading him towards a style built around hypnotic soundscapes, sharp drones and gradual, cinematic tension. As a resident of Ergotherapy, he has become a familiar presence within Greece’s underground techno scene, sharing the booth with a number of respected artists.

His discography includes releases such as Primal Force and his contribution to the Dancefloor 4AM compilation, both reflecting the dark, atmospheric approach that defines his productions. Whether in the studio or behind the decks, Nases crafts immersive journeys where evolving tension and carefully layered storytelling take precedence over instant impact.

His artistic name derives from the Latin phrase Nascentes morimur (“From the moment we are born, we begin to die”), reflecting his belief that music gives voice to emotions that often remain hidden, even from ourselves.

From Ramallah to the World’s Biggest Stages

Although Sama’ Abdulhadi became the first Palestinian DJ to achieve global recognition, her impact extends far beyond that milestone. She has emerged as one of contemporary techno’s most distinctive voices, combining uncompromising, high-energy performances with an unwavering commitment to supporting the electronic music community in Palestine and the wider Middle East.

Born in Jordan and raised in Ramallah, Abdulhadi’s journey into electronic music took shape in Beirut, where she immersed herself in the city’s thriving underground scene. Drawing inspiration from both Berlin techno and the energy of Arab club culture, she developed a powerful, driving sound that has become instantly recognizable on dancefloors worldwide.

Her international breakthrough arrived in 2018 with her Boiler Room performance from Ramallah, a landmark set that has since accumulated more than 15 million views and introduced audiences around the world to Palestine’s emerging electronic music scene. Since then, she has performed at many of the world’s leading festivals and clubs, including Coachella, Glastonbury, Primavera, Circoloco, Fusion, Lost Village, EXIT Festival, Warung and AVA Festival, while also delivering BBC Radio 1’s prestigious Essential Mix.

Beyond the booth, Abdulhadi has consistently used her international platform to amplify artists and creative communities from Palestine. Through initiatives such as Union in Ramallah, Bring Back Beirut and Resilience, she has created opportunities for collaboration, cultural exchange and artistic expression, demonstrating that electronic music can be both a powerful artistic language and a catalyst for community.

Her productions include releases on Circoloco Records, collaborations with Tom Morello, and contributions to Rockstar Games projects, while her technical background in audio engineering continues to shape the precision and intensity of her productions and performances.

Today, Sama’ Abdulhadi stands among the most influential figures in contemporary techno. Her sets combine relentless groove, emotional intensity and exceptional technical control, making every performance an immersive journey that transcends borders, politics and geography.

The Architect of Dub Techno

The DNA of modern techno carries Moritz von Oswald’s fingerprints. Across more than four decades, the Berlin-based producer, composer and mastering engineer has continuously redefined the possibilities of techno, developing a sonic language whose influence extends far beyond the dancefloor.

Following his early training as a classical percussionist, von Oswald entered Berlin’s avant-garde scene with Palais Schaumburg before helping lay the foundations of modern electronic music through collaborations with Thomas Fehlmann, Juan Atkins and Mark Ernestus. Together with Ernestus, he co-founded Basic Channel—one of the most influential projects in techno history—establishing a blueprint that fused Detroit techno, Jamaican dub and radical minimalism into an entirely new musical vocabulary.

Through Basic Channel, Chain Reaction and his work at the legendary Dubplates & Mastering studio, von Oswald helped define not only the sound of Berlin techno but also the production standards that continue to shape electronic music today. His meticulous approach to rhythm, space and sonic detail has influenced generations of producers across techno, ambient, dub and experimental music.

Never content to remain within established forms, von Oswald has spent the last two decades expanding his practice through improvisation and interdisciplinary collaboration. His acclaimed projects with Carl Craig, Juan Atkins and the Borderland project, as well as his work for Deutsche Grammophon, explore the intersection of classical composition, jazz, dub and contemporary electronics.

The Moritz von Oswald Trio further exemplifies this restless creative spirit, bringing together musicians including Vladislav Delay, Max Loderbauer, Laurel Halo and the late Tony Allen in performances where improvisation and electronic experimentation exist in constant dialogue.

Still driven by curiosity and innovation, Moritz von Oswald remains one of electronic music’s most visionary figures—an artist whose work continues to reshape the relationship between sound, technology and musical expression.

The Berlin Duo That Redefined Electronic Music

Modeselektor have spent more than two decades redefining the boundaries of electronic music. Formed by Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary, the Berlin duo emerged from the city’s post-rave underground in the early 2000s, quickly earning a reputation for explosive DJ sets and fearless productions that blur the lines between techno, bass music, electro, hip hop and experimental electronics.

Their breakthrough came with the acclaimed albums Hello Mom! (2005) and Happy Birthday! (2007), establishing a sound that was as unpredictable as it was influential. Throughout their career, they have collaborated with artists including Thom Yorke, Apparat, Paul St. Hilaire and Flohio, while delivering remixes for Radiohead, Björk, Moby, Grimes and many others.

In 2009, they launched Monkeytown Records, one of electronic music’s most respected independent labels, introducing artists such as FJAAK, Siriusmo, Shed and Marcel Dettmann, while championing forward-thinking club music across multiple genres. Alongside Apparat, they also formed Moderat, whose three albums and acclaimed live performances became a defining chapter in modern electronic music.

Whether performing at the world’s leading festivals or pushing new sonic directions in the studio, Modeselektor remain one of electronic music’s most original and uncompromising acts—driven by restless creativity, heavyweight bass and an unmistakably playful spirit.

The Architect of Emotional Techno

Reinvention has always been at the heart of Maceo Plex’s career. Driven by an instinct to forge his own path rather than follow established formulas, he has built a body of work that seamlessly connects techno, electro, breaks and IDM with unmistakable emotional depth.

Born in Miami to first-generation Cuban immigrants, Maceo Plex grew up immersed in the city’s rich musical culture before relocating to Dallas, where he honed his production skills and began releasing music under the aliases Maetrik and Mariel Ito. In 2010, after moving to Valencia, Spain, the Maceo Plex project emerged as the definitive expression of his artistic vision.

His productions have become modern electronic music landmarks. Tracks such as Solar Detroit, Conjure Balearia and Can’t Leave You have amassed tens of millions of streams while retaining the underground sensibility that has defined his career. Constantly evolving, his sound moves effortlessly between peak-time techno, cinematic electronica and intricate, forward-thinking productions.

Equally celebrated as a DJ, Maceo Plex has become a regular presence at the world’s leading clubs and festivals, from Ibiza and Berlin to Amsterdam, New York and beyond. His Boiler Room performances remain among the platform’s most iconic, highlighting the instinctive storytelling, precision and emotional tension that define his sets.

His creative universe extends far beyond a single alias. Through Maceo Plex, Maetrik and Mariel Ito, he explores different dimensions of electronic music while maintaining a singular artistic identity. This restless approach culminated in 93 (2023), one of his most personal works to date, blending techno, electro, breaks and IDM into a cinematic journey inspired by formative memories.

On Friday, September 18, Maceo Plex returns to reworks to take over the Reworks Warehouse, curating his own stage at reworks by night. Joining him are Raxon and Christian Nielsen, with the night culminating in a special triple B2B between all three.

Raw Techno from Greece’s New Generation

Emerging from Larisa, Greece, Low Signal has been steadily carving his place within the contemporary techno landscape since 2017. Defined by the raw, uncompromising energy of his signature “PEZI” sound, his sets and productions balance driving rhythms with industrial textures and relentless dancefloor intensity.

Beyond his home country’s thriving underground scene, Low Signal has brought his sound to audiences in cities including Amsterdam and Berlin, while continuing to expand his international presence through a growing catalogue of releases.

His productions have appeared on labels such as DARK MODULAR Records, ADVANCED BLACK, BLACK LINE RECORDINGS, NEXA RECORDS, and ESPECTRO A. Releases including Machinia, Dirty Dancefloor, The Truth Is A Lie, and Embrace The Darkness reflect an artist committed to powerful, peak-time techno with a distinctive sonic identity.
