reworks co-curations at Nuits Sonores

From 28 May to 1 June 2025, reworks will be in Lyon, participating in the renowned Nuits Sonores festival as part of the international collaborative project TIMES — an initiative that brings together some of Europe’s most acclaimed festivals in a shared effort to explore the future of music, creativity, and cultural collaboration.

This year, Nuits Sonores will host co-curations from reworks, Berlin Atonal (Germany), and Insomnia Festival (Norway), presenting a forward-thinking programme that focuses on electronic and experimental contemporary music. With a bold, diverse and exploratory approach, the 2025 edition reaffirms Nuits Sonores’ position as one of the most important festivals on the European cultural map.

A diverse and innovative lineup bringing together legendary figures such as Ellen Allien with some of the most exciting rising talents in today’s global scene — like Badsista, Moxie, and Fadi Mohem — highlighting fresh voices and a wide range of musical directions.

✦ Collaborative artistic creation – ‘The Talk’ (World Premiere):

Nuits Sonores will also host the world premiere of ‘The Talk’, an artistic creation co-commissioned by reworks, Sónar, Terraforma, and Nuits Sonores, featuring:
Heith, PET, Gunseli Yalcinkaya, and Andrea Belosi.

A powerful artistic collaboration that reflects a shared philosophy and vision across these festivals, connecting artistic expression with thematic depth.

✦ Nuits Sonores Lab – Techno-politics

Alongside the music programme, the Nuits Sonores Lab, curated by European Lab, will offer a dynamic space for discussion and exchange. Themed around Techno-politics, the Lab will present talks, panels and workshops exploring the intersections between music, technology, and socio-political thinking — a natural fit for reworks, which has long championed the connection between sound and ideas.
