reworks travels to Norway for Insomnia Festival 2025

reworks continues its international collaborations as part of the European network TIMES, joining the Insomnia Festival in Tromsø, Norway (15–18 October 2025).
On Saturday, October 18, the festival’s stage will host the legendary Higher Intelligence Agency, in a special performance co-curated by reworks.

Higher Intelligence Agency (HIA), the project of Bobby Bird, was formed in Birmingham in the early ’90s during the era of the iconic Oscillate club — a space where HIA, Autechre, Biosphere and Orbital helped shape the live dimension of early electronic music.
With releases on Warp Records and Beyond Records, and collaborations with artists such as Biosphere and Pete Namlook, HIA became one of the true pioneers of ambient and experimental electronica.

After a three-decade journey that includes seminal works such as Freefloater, Song of the Machine and the recent Discatron EP, HIA returns to the stage with an immersive live set that blends technical precision, spatial sound and atmospheric depth.
